Maddie has favored lying on her left side when she lies on her back. Because of this, the left side of her head has been a little flat, which caused the left side of her forehead to protrude out further than the right side. We had her checked out at a doctor appointment she had at 2 months (last month) and the doctor mentioned that she may have to wear a helmet to re-shape her head if it didn’t improve. Kevin and I were pretty bummed, so per doctor’s orders we worked with her for the last month trying to get her to sleep on her right side. Apparently that did the trick! We took her in today for a follow up visit and the doctor said that her head looks much much better!! It’s not totally fixed yet, but she expects that by her 4 month appointment, her head will all better! We couldn’t be happier!
Oh – and apparently, the teething thing was a false alarm (thank goodness!) It’s way too early for that!
We also found out that she is now 12 pounds, so she is twice her birth weight! As I look through old pictures, I can definitely see how much she has grown! Check this out! The picture on the left was taken when Maddie was a day old, and the one on the right was from about a week ago making her just under 3 months old.
